Rising Temperatures Hurt Tourism Around The World

Some scorching summers and warm winters have hindered tourism and economies that rely on seasonal travelers. Hurricanes are getting far worse due to the raising ocean temperatures, which trigger stronger hurricanes (see diagram). For example, Hurricane Felix pelted both Honduras and Belize in September, 2007, which displaced 1000's of tourists and forced them to flee to the United States.

Record high temperatures are also reducing the amount of snow being produced in northern regions, causing ski seasons to diminish. Thus, ski resorts must face the fact that climate change is happening.
